    Feeling better today….

    Last night I had Pizza.....It wasn't even good...
    Today...something light

    Ok so over the weekend I had for bfast a boiled egg and one of these:
    This was awesome....so very good and filling. I looked at the different varieties and noticed that not all of them are good for you..This one had 100% juice and puree blend.
    The sugar is HIGH but I am thinking its due to all the fruit since fruit is naturally high in sugar.
    Here are some of the ingredients:
    Apple Juice, Peach, mango, strawberry, and banana puree...soy lecithin, vitamin C, wheat grass, Barley grass, wheat sprouts artichoke lemon bioflavanoids and nova scotia dulse

    Now this is much different from my usual product ingredient list. I can at least pronounce or figure out what’s in it. I may start making my own Super foods smoothies with the packets from whole foods...I am off to research what the hell a Bioflavanoid is...LOL

    Today is a emotional, hormonal..UGH day.
    I've been crying..WHY..Who the HELL knows...

    Friday I mad a decision to cut all the processed foods I've been consuming. Its going to be a long road but I have already started to document it and can’t wait to share with you guys...

    I've just been in a blah kinda mood.
    I have been working it out....YASSS and I have been staying OFF THE SCALE..
    I'm feeling pretty friggin AWESOME and don't want that scale to mess me up.

    So I'm not getting on it.
    NOPE..
    I’m going to Vegas in a couple of weeks so I may step on it before I leave for some motivation NOT to act a damn fool at a buffet...and to pack my workout gear.

    MOTIVATION

    So I've been leaving my camera in my car lately.....UGH
    My life has been pretty uneventful which is usually the calm before the STORM.
    This weekend is a busy weekend...

    The God baby is in an fashion show…my hair needs some attention and someone wants to date me…go figure…

    and for the Super Bowl Sunday I’m hanging with the sis and then to a party… I am bringing my camera with....maybe even do a Vlog...Stay tuned...

    But I made some grilled fajita meat last night and nested it in a tortilla with Pico. Simple and YUMMY

    Workouts have been good...but not that intense...

    I had a NSV last night...
    when I got off work at 4:00 ....I didn't wanna go to they gym.... My step class didn’t start until 5:30 so I knew if I didn't go I wouldn't right then....it was NOT going to happen.

    So I bit the bullet and got on the mill...20 mins rotating between 9 and 15 incline (yeah I had to hold on!)
    ...then GUESS WHAT….I got on the elliptical.....Yeah!...I can’t believe it either. I hate BOTH of them with a PASSION…but I had to get it in and I did......
    ..burned off my entire lunch.
    4 days DONE!

    Once again the gym kicked my Azzzz last night.
    I already didn't wanna go..but I am so happy I did.
    We did a lot of boot camp like training with the step included. I felt like I was on the Biggest Loser. LMAO

    Went on a 4 mile walk with the girls yesterday (my rest day).....and it was good.

    Zumba totally kicked my butt last night!


    The lady seemed all nice and sweet....and we were all just standing around then BOOOOMMMM the music hit and everyone started dancing like crazy..

    It was intense...and I shook my groove thang….that’s for sure.
    I enjoyed it.....thanks for recommending it Bad Mama Jama

    I was standing behind this young lady who had on basically a bra and panties ( that’s how short her shorts were. Her stomach was a rock...but she was a reminder of what I DON'T want. I love my softness...my curves...

    but when I was jumping (and I do mean jumping)

    I felt like I looked fat.....I didn’t like that feeling....so I am going to work these next few months so in April when I'm jumping....I feel lean...I feel fit.

    Last night I had tacos.....they were pretty good and only 450 cals. YAY. no cheese or extras just meat lettuce and light SC

    I have been REALLY contemplating a 5 day fast...not for weight loss purposes but for spiritual reasons...to see if my self control is there....to test it.


    I can’t fathom going 1 day without solid food. Or even 8 hours.
    Maybe I'll do the fasting from 8-8 everyday for 5 days....or just go all out and do the master cleanse for 5 days......

    I don’t know. I’ve been researching and I want to find one that is beneficial to my health and spirit....
    and still have a way that I can work out.
    I wanted to start this week but I need to be mentally ready for it.and more prepared. maybe next week.

    I am very interested in doing this program…on one hand…but on the other..
    I am NOT a fan of working out at home….
    If any of you have done it what are your thoughts??


    24 Hour Fitness
    More realistically I am setting up an old plan that worked for me last year. My 24 Hour Fitness Classes.
    These are lifesavers….
    Here’s this weeks schedule until I can figure other stuff out…
    Monday: Zumba
    Tuesday: Rest Day
    Wednesday: Step and Sculpt (did this last week and liked it)
    Thursday: Step or Circuit Training (this is new for me)
    Friday: Rest Day
    Saturday: Step or Pilates
    Sunday: Kickboxing
    This is my goal for the week. And 1100-1200 calories a day 3 meals and 2 snacks!

    Day 6 and 7
    Ok so Friday was a fun fun night...we had a BLAST!
    Saturday morning woke up feeling like someone stabbed me in the throat!!
    I was feeling like UGHHHHH
    so I stayed in bed most of the day.
    When I did go out to get things for the house and for the week. I realized at 3 or 4 that I hadn’t eaten.
    and GUESS what I ate???
    Some friggin McDonalds. It was the 1st thing I could put my hands on...
    so Day 6 out the window.

    Sunday I was still feeling bad I did eat a turkey sandwich on thin, a mango, some 100 cal chips..
    and for Dinner someone brought me a King Crab leg and 2 corn on the cobs...
    O devoured that and was in the bed for the night....
    Watching them Saints act up!!

    So as you can see Day 6 and 7 were a BUST!
    I still haven’t recorded my weight. Why?? I don't know. I did pull the scale out Sunday and it said 183 or so and I put it right back up!!
    I've been semi focused and I know that scale can throw me off.....

    I have yet to do an official weigh in…or go anywhere near that scale. But I will

    Yesterday was a rough day in my personal life…got some bad news.
    But instead of going ape shit and going out drinking etc…
    I had a Jones Soda….with 2 oz cherry Vodka..
    And that HIT THE SPOT!!!!!!
    I am allowed a mixed drink this week but that soda was a no go….:-(
    I’m ok though….I see that as a NSV.


    Anywhoo…
    This weekend…should be FUN
    The BF’s Bday is today and it Party Party Party time….

    Tea..
    I drink tea probably 3 times a week and sometimes on weekend if I'm around the house.

    I love tea...all kinds...but I'm partial to black tea and spiced teas..anywhoo...


    These are two of my favs right now:

    This one is light yummy but if you don't like ginger...dont purchase it. Its a nice combo with a little lemon and honey


    This is a dessert in a cup....perfect to cure a sweet tooth. Add a touch of milk, spelnda.....yes....so YUMMY!

    Cycle 2....Day like 3
    Monday and Tuesday I didn’t follow the smash exactly. I ate the chicken dish twice....so that isn't following plan.
    Back on it today...well a modified version.
    Bfast and Lunch will be fat smash dinner will be modified to include a protein and beans of veggies....but less rice.
    Still have yet to even think about getting on that scale....until this nightmare is OVER..LOL

    I feel great though....and I look good too….LOL
    **I'm currently editing the bits and pieces from the 5K and it will posted probably today...

    back at work....
    UGH.

    I went to the store yesterday….here's my loot for the week

    Also I made some low fat chicken tetrazzini last night...
    Was too cheesy for me but good for y 1st try
    It was all low fat ingredients with the exception of the cheese. I used good cheese. which is probably why I didn’t need as much...
    here are some things I got...
    The brownies are for one of the nephews he requested them as a gift for making straight A's on his report card. I am making them tonight....
    Also pictured: red pepper, bell pepper, cream of mushroom, onion, spaghetti, sharp cheddar, pimentos...

    Chopped and Ready....

    Final Product...it made 2 pans full


    Now here are my items for the week
    Pictured: Multigrain Cherrios (these are pretty good), cantaloupe, 2 mangos, 2 bananas, parmesan for what I dont know), laughing cow, 2 grapefruit, pork chops (Wednesday’s dinner), mushrooms, 2 yogurts, 2 apples and some tea.


    So this week I am doing the fat smash partly and partly calorie counting.
    1100-1200 calories a day
    4 days workout......

    The 5K was GREAT!
    Officially My time is
    40:44
    In my age group I was#1000 out of 2549 runners. YAY!
    and out of all 6670 runners I was #1890.....I ain't mad at that...
    I am ooober proud of myself. I took 2 small 1 min breaks and thats it..
    I enjoyed the run...LOL....go figure
    Stay tuned for PICS and Video.

    I made it 6 days on the smash...today I didnt follow plan....
    more on that later and a weigh in tomorrow.

    I’m 1/2 way there....
    I have had some cravings...
    mainly silly sh*t that i see on TV...and some recipes that I am dying to try. But I've maintained and STUCK with the smash...

    I worked out Mon and Tue...used my rest day yesterday because Step class is today YAY
    Tomorrow I'm off ...THANK GOD so I may hit the outside or another gym in the A.M....

    People like that are Really and TRULY my motivation. They want to lose and get healthy too but HATE that I am doing it and they are not...
    This was a REAL test...they had chips, 3 kinds of salsa.....Tres Chocolate cake, mousse. EVERYTHING..and I only ate MY food. I am proud of myself!

    Well isn't this about a ......
    Pizza party...right next to me....there were like 12 pizzas...salad, cookies and it smells soooo damn good......




    was emailing the BF yesterday and I wrote a response that I thought would do some good here:
    That's the good thing about the Smash it teaches your mind to eat when you "need" to ...not when you "want" to.

    Hence the saying:


    Eat to Live, not Live to Eat.
    Think about it....I was feeling full all day yesterday...satisfied. but if the right thing was presented(chips/dip, nachos etc. ) I would eat it. .....I need to watch that behavior like a HAWK.lol

    Last night I made a veggie stir fry….with all the egg roll flavor as my veggie side...
    Ingredients
    Cabbage, Carrots, Green Onion, Yellow Onion, Celery, Mushrooms, water chestnuts, Sprouts (love these), soy sauce and a tbsp oyster sauce...*forgot to add the ginger I had..all sesoned with salt, pepper, onion powder and accent.
    Glad I keep a wok handy...loves this thing....
    The cooking goes FAST so have all of your veggies ready to chop and drop:

    onions and celery



    Then I sautéed the mushrooms, chestnuts and sprouts


    Then I added the cabbage and carrots...made a well and added the sauce...
    then I answered the phone while I was "woking" and let it go to long. But it was still delish!


    YUMMY!! Served with brown rice,,,,,

    Didnt eat the oatmeal...had an egg out of the taco they servied. I feel good!!

    Day 2 Obstacles??!?!? **updated

    Obstacles already???
    My coworker reminded me that this week is "eat week" here at work. Which is when we are being taken out to lunch and have a Bday to celebrate in the same week. Today the bday bfast which usually always includes (bagels, doughnuts, kolaches, cream cheese and a meat and cheese tray)
    Jesus be the wheel..lol
    I’ll be having a yogurt and a v8
    **I did just that. I didn’t have a taste sipped my coffee and laughed it up. There were some Haters amongst the group but I QUICKLY shut them down..lol...reminding them that they wish they had the will power. Gotta love confidence**

    Tomorrow is some overpriced kickoff campaign here at work.
    They are serving Bfast tacos and juice! NO FRUIT!
    Then on Thursday it's lunch with the boss……at a Mexican restaurant.

    Since I am not huge on Mexican food…I’m not too afraid about this. I’ve peeped the menu and will be having the salad w/ chicken and some veggie soup.
    That day calls for a salad with an egg (for protein) and the soup is on my snack list.
    I think I picked a great week to start.lol
